Carrie Heller

 Carrie is the President of The Heller Group Legal and Executive Search. She obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, articled at Fraser & Beatty (now Fraser Milner) and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996. With over 12 years of legal recruitment experience, Carrie has a reputation for providing high-end legal recruitment services to both law firms and corporate legal departments. She has significant experience placing lawyers at all levels, from associates to senior partners with portable practices. Her personal and professional approach to recruitment and placement has resulted in a loyal client and candidate base.
In addition to successfully placing lawyers at major law firms and boutiques, Carrie has extensive experience in working with corporate legal departments. She has placed lawyers in a wide range of positions (General Counsel, Corporate Counsel/Legal Counsel, Litigation Management, Corporate Secretary, Compliance Officer, Contract Administrator, etc.) with major corporations, including Merrill Lynch Canada, TD Bank Financial Group, Dell Computer Corporation, Toyota Credit Canada, Home Depot of Canada, BASF Canada, and Noranda/Falconbridge.
Prior to her career in legal recruitment, Carrie was the Marketing and Research Director for a major health care association where she was actively involved in business development, marketing strategies and business consulting services. This experience has proven to be invaluable to Carrie in the legal recruitment industry as she not only has a strong understanding of the practice of law, but a strong background in business development and marketing.
Louise Woollcombe

 Louise is a Senior Consultant with The Heller Group. Louise has broad experience in the financial services industry, including securitizations, secured and unsecured lending and insolvency related restructuring. Most recently, she worked with a large financial institution to develop its compliance and risk management functions. Louise completed her law degree at Queen’s University. She articled with McCarthy Tetrault and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994.
Louise is actively involved in recruiting and placing lawyers, of all levels, into law firms and corporations. She is also the primary consultant for compliance and risk management related positions.

Steven Dykstra

 Steven is a Senior Consultant with The Heller Group. Prior to joining The Heller Group, Steve practised corporate/commercial law with Loopstra Nixon LLP and Goodman and Carr LLP. He has broad experience in mergers and acquisitions, private debt and equity financing and general corporate/commercial law. Steve completed his law degree at Queen’s University, articled with Goodman and Carr LLP and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003.
Prior to entering into law school, Steve spent five years in the sports broadcasting industry with TSN, Sportsnet and YTV. Steve will be actively involved in recruiting and placing lawyers of all levels into law firms and corporations.
